With the latest public health concerns, City facilities are adjusting as new health orders are announced. City officials are once again allowing residents to enter City Hall. Residents must adhere to the current mask mandate and follow all current social distancing protocols. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Viewing City Council meetings in person inside the City Council Chambers has been suspended after a brief opening this Summer. Meetings are televised on Spectrum Cable Channel 3 and are streamed LIVE on the City’s website at pico-rivera.org and on the City’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/cityofpicoriveraofficial. Public comments may be submitted via email to publiccomments@picorivera.org up to 4:00 p.m. the day of a scheduled City Council meeting.
The Pico Rivera Senior Center will also remain closed after the facility was briefly opened with limited services. The closure is out of an abundance of caution to protect our most vulnerable Senior population. The Senior Center does plan to re-open in the near future with limited programming and capacity.
City parks remain open at this time with all amenities available for use. Athletic fields have been opened for competitive play only by our recognized Community Sports Organizations per City approval. All park community centers and indoor gyms remain closed.
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department will continue to offer virtual classes and, whenever possible, limited in-person classes. Also, stay tuned for announcements on future seasonal special events in the coming months.
