The United States Army Corps of Engineers has started work on the Whittier Narrows Dam Improvement Project. Much of the work can be seen as you’re golfing at the Pico Rivera Golf Club.
The Pico Rivera Golf Club continues to operate and welcomes new and regular golfers on a daily basis. The course has a new configuration for holes 5 through 8 to accommodate the construction activities. Many golfers have complimented staff on the new configuration, stating that it brings a new challenge to the course.
Both putting greens are available, and the Driving Range is available M-F from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Sa/Su from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to the ongoing construction, the Range has been shortened; no woods or drivers are allowed.
In addition to the regular Golf Club operations, Dos Rio Bar and Grill is also open, serving a full menu of breakfast and lunch along with mixed drinks. Have a Breakfast Burrito before you tee off and then finish with a Pico Rivera Burger, after a round of golf, you won’t regret it.
Finally, the Banquet Hall at the Pico Rivera Golf Club continues to operate and accept applications for special events. The banquet hall is available for all types of special occasions accommodating up to 100 guests, and on-site catering.
The Pico Rivera Golf Club is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For additional information on the Golf Course including tee times and banquet, rentals visit their website at picoriveragc.com or call them at 562.801.4229.
